My Study Abroad Adventure: Italy Departure
The past few days have been a complete and total whirlwind as I wrapped up my freshman year at OU (holy cats that FLEW by!), finished finals, moved out of my dorm room (how did I accumulate that much stuff??) and packed for Italy. Now I am sitting in the Rome airport typing this post with a 10 hour flight under my belt. I am already in love with Italy and all I have seen is the beautiful country side from my seat by the plane window.
Fun fact about me, I love clouds, sunrises and sunsets and so my eyes were glued out the window for the majority of the plane ride. So far, this time zone change is the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. We went from afternoon in Dallas to early evening in New Yorkish area to pitch black night while flying over the ocean and then as we came into Europe, the sun was beginning to rise. I snapped pictures the whole time and here are a few I got. 🙂
I am doing both of my study abroad programs through OU. Right now, I am in Italy with The President’s Leadership Class (PLC) and when this trip ends, will head to Seville, Spain to take Spanish 3 and return at the end of June.
I know many of you have asked for updates on my trip and I will periodically be posting here on my blog, so this is the best way to keep up with my travels. Thank you for all the prayers, sweet texts and encouragement you have sent my way– I so appreciate it!
(Goodbye in Spanish)
